Cynthia Perkins, 52, of Prairie Home died Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2005, at her home. Services, conducted by Everett Perkins, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 31, at Nilson Funeral Home, 5611 St. Charles Road. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.
She was born Feb. 22, 1953, in Henderson, Kentucky to Charles J. and Rosalie Thompson. She married George Perkins on May 14, 1983, in Columbia. She was a 1972 graduate of Hickman High School. She formerly owned Lari’s Flowers. Cynthia loved her five cats and two dogs dearly. She enjoyed the outdoors and fishing.
Survivors include her husband, George Perkins of Prairie Home; her mother, Rosalie Thompson of Lake St. Louis; two sisters, Jeane Anne Meadows of O’Fallon and Sharon L. Thompson of Springfield; and two nephews, John Thompson of Lake St. Louis and Kevin Meadows of Springfield. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles J. Thompson. Memorial contributions are suggested to the National Kidney Foundation or the World Wildlife Fund.
