Robert F. Grove, “Bob,” died unexpectedly at his home Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2017. There was a Celebration of Life on Nov. 8, 2017 at Shiloh Bar & Grill. Friends were asked to hug their children, help those in need, and enjoy life in lieu of flowers.
Bob was in the construction business his entire life. Driving his truck with his cell phone to his ear is the image many will remember best. He loved driving his Wiley’s Jeep and spending time at his Lake of the Ozarks cabin with his family. Known to be ornery and argumentative, he was fiercely devoted to those he loved. Bob was never swayed by wealth or status; he befriended people at “the top” of the ladder, those with nothing, and everyone in between.
Bob is survived by his wife of thirty-five years, Carol, his son, Frederick Anton “Tony,” his daughter Lilli, and a large extended family many of whom will miss “Uncle Bob” beyond words. He was preceded in death by his mother, Dora Agnes Grove and his father, Frederick Anton Grove.
